Easy Christmas Sprinkle Sugar Cookies

Easy Christmas sprinkle sugar cookies require no chill time, use simple ingredients, and come together so easily. Sometimes you don't have time to make elaborate Christmas Cookies, these are just as beautiful and delicious without all the time and work!

  • 1 C salted butter at room temperature
  • 1 & 1/3 C white sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 & 1/2 C all purpose flour spooned and levelled
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 C Christmas coloured sprinkles


  • Preheat oven to 350F and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl or stand mixer with the paddle attachment on cream together butter and sugar. You want the mixture to be light and fluffy, I usually mix mine for 3 minutes.
    1 C salted butter, 1 & 1/3 C white sugar
  • Add in the egg and vanilla extract and mix till well combined.
    1 large egg, 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • In a separate bowl whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
    2 & 1/2 C all purpose flour, 1/2 tsp baking soda, 1/2 tsp baking powder, 1/4 tsp salt
  • Add the dry ingredients to the wet and mix till well combined.
  • In a shallow bowl add in the sprinkles.
    1/2 C Christmas coloured sprinkles
  • Scoop cookie dough into 1 & 1/2 tablespoon size balls (I like to use a small cookie/ice cream scoop). Roll the top and sides of the dough ball in the sprinkles and place them on the baking tray 2 inches apart.
  • Bake for 11-12 minutes or until the bottoms are golden brown. Let cool on the baking tray for 5 minutes before moving to a wire rack to fully cool.
  • Enjoy!


Store at room temperature in an airtight container up to 4 days.
